The Nigerian Association of Social Work Educators is a professional representative body of Social Worker Educators in Nigeria. NASWE is guided by a constitution and managed by a Board of Trustees and Executive Council, elected from and by the membership. Four Technical Committees support the work being carried out by the Association.

NASWE serves as a forum for social work educators and institutional representatives to meet, discuss and find solutions to common problems. NASWE stablishes and maintains program standards, promotes research and professional development, and advocates for social work education and professionalism.
